BARRINGTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Renovation and Addition

To accomodate an expanding student population, this project included the addition of 13,500 new square feet to a forty year old elementary school building.  The addition included a suite of eight classrooms and associated toilet rooms, as well as a new library.  Renovation work in the existing building included a remodeled administrative office suite, a new walk-in cooler/freezer, new operable partitions, accessibility upgrades to entrances and toilet rooms and mechanical system upgrades.

A system of rooftop monitors brings light through a mechanical mezzanine and then into the classrooms through daylighting "lanterns".
